Please do come along and support the Parent Council as we provide an overview of the last year, and look forward to new developments for GME in 2019. Brian Thunder, Convenor of Comann nam Pàrant, will be speaking about the latest developments regarding new secondary, primary and early years provision. This will include feedback from meetings for c7 parents regarding the move to high school for pupils this summer, as well as how the school and the new Gaelic staff are preparing to create an infrastructure for the development of GME at JGHS ahead of a potential move to a new site in 2024. There is a update on the Comann nam Pàrant website which we would encourage you all to read, which outlines the latest developments. The AGM is an important opportunity to hear about the present and future of your child’s education, please join us.  We are still looking for people to take on the roles of Chair (or Co-Chairs), Secretary, and GME Rep for the new year. The function of the Parent Council is really important to the life and to the well-being of the school, and provides a vital line of communication between parents and the school, the council and the community. Please do consider standing and being a part of this process. It is rewarding, and offers an opportunity to support the school in developing this fantastic educational opportunity for our children. There will be plenty of support from us and from other Parent Council members should you wish to take up a role.
